- Gatsun, to vs Garigari-kun
- Design
- 1. A color scheme of the 'showdown' that seizes the eye
Strong contrast: At the top of the page, set against a 'pitch-black' background, Egashira 2:50-san and Garigari-kun glare at each other, immediately creating a tense, pro-wrestling-like atmosphere. Brand-color inversion: As the page moves downward, the screen boldly transitions from the vivid orange of 'Gatsun, to Mikan' to the deep blue that symbolizes 'Garigari-kun'. Simply by scrolling, there is an immersive sense of moving between the two camps' 'territories'.
2. Product layout that emphasizes sizzle and three-dimensionality
Dynamic arrangement: In the central 'product lineup' area, the juicy cross-section of the mikan ice and the splashing juice graphics are placed large and diagonally. By breaking textbook-like alignment, it creates a sense of momentum (sizzle) as if the products are bursting out of the web page. Tightening effect of the black background: By placing brightly packaged ice against black or deep-orange backgrounds, contours stand out sharply, making them look even more appetizing.
3. A timeline that visualizes history and 'disparity'
An overwhelming vertical genealogy (the blue area): The long blue zone in the latter half of the page is like a massive wall of history (a timeline) that 'Garigari-kun' has built up. Against this, the still-short-history 'Gatsugatsu-kun (Egashira-san)' climbs up from below — the challenger spirit is expressed by the sheer length of the page itself. Overall, rather than a web design that just tidies things up, I feel this is an excellent design in which the performers' character and the gritty theme of 'defeat' are brilliantly expressed through graphic energy and color use.
