Site Description: Shirahone Onsen is a hot spring resort located on the foothills of the Kita Arupusu, beyond multiple layers of mountains.
Design: The background evokes a washi-like texture with calm margins, and the typography incorporating vertical text is exceptionally beautiful, carefully expressing a Japanese sense of atmosphere and tranquility. Nature photographs are also unified in subdued tones, creating an immersive feeling that conveys the water and forest air as they are. Furthermore, the spacing between elements and the layout margins are exquisite, producing a composition that does not cram information and evokes a leisurely flow of time. I feel it is a highly refined design that effectively communicates the high-quality experiential value expected of a ryokan or hot spring resort.
